Wisteria
is situated on 620 private rural acres in beautiful southeastern
Ohio, in the Alleghany mountain plateau region of the Appalachian
mountain chain. Scattered throughout this enchanted land are forests
and fields, winding trails and streams, rocky outcroppings, caves,
and lush plant and animal life.
Over
200 acres have been designated as a permanent Nature retreat, never
to be developed. Some of this land is reclaimed surface-mined land,
and we have committed to continued efforts to help the land
reestablish the health and diversity of its local ecosystems. Another
area of the land is for homes which integrate eco-technology and the
natural contours of the landscape.
To
learn to live in harmony with the natural world and its forces, we
seek to form a place which can beautifully thrive in the new ways
crucial to the continued maturation and survival of the human race.
We are providing a transformative, safe place where residents and
visitors alike can co-exist while exploring self-potential in harmony
and with guidance from the natural world.
